What is it?
Ohio funding to help upskill employees with skills needed in a technology-infused economy. These credentials take a year or less to complete and prepare current and future employees for the jobs Ohio employers need.

Up to $2,000 per person reimbursement for credentials approved by TechCred and earned within 12 months. Organizations can be approved for up to $30K per funding period (15 employees per organization).

Who is eligible?

  • Organizations with a location in Ohio (excluding Ohio government agencies)

  • Current employees who are Ohio residents

  • Prospective employees who are Ohio residents

How do I get started as a business?

  1. Identify skills needed and interested employees.

  2. Partner with a credential provider. (i.e. Maumee Valley Dental Assisting School)

  3. Apply online.

  4. Enroll employees in the program.

  5. Upload proof of credential completion.

  6. Receive reimbursement.

Information needed:

  • OH Supplier ID

  • Federal EIN

  • Legal Business Name

  • Ohio Charter Number (Entity #)

  • General business information

  • # of individuals to participate and average wage

Yes, TechCred is a great way for employers to grow their tech workforce, and is available for current as well as prospective employees.
